your first visit

dental services in Florida

We understand that the first trip to a dentist can be difficult for many patients and even more difficult when you are facing a potential surgical procedure. We make sure that during your first visit (which is typically a consultation) we answer all of your questions and address your concerns regarding your upcoming procedure.

There are some things that you can do to make this first visit less stressful

A) If you have existing X-rays bring them along with you

B) Be sure to bring us a list of all medications you are currently taking (as well as over the counter medications)

C) Bring any forms that might be required by your insurance company (including HMO's referal forms) and bring copies of your dental insurance as well as your medical insurance cards as many times extensive dental surgery is covered under medical insurance

D) Bring your drivers license or photo ID for proper identification

There are some things that you will need to keep in mind:

A) If you are under the age of 18 you must be accompanied by a guardian who is legally able to authorize your care

B) If you've been advised that you are coming in for a surgery please avoid eating or drinking for the eight

(8) hours prior to your surgery and please have someone available to drive you home.

C) If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, glaucoma or other health issues, please let our staff know. It is especially important that we are made aware of any medications you are taking, especially aspirin, heart medications or other medications that may affect your bleeding time.
